The Samson Media One BT5 Speaker (and not as it is wrongly in Amazon than 5 BT) can immediately recognize sounds and instruments that were previously with the Logitech systems simply do not exist. I also have to admit, in the first few minutes it was a bit of getting used to. But that was probably just to the unaccustomed color changing. Then still minimal corrections on Equalizer and then it just is: enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Partially re-experience music. Especially phenomenal sound live versions, Unplugged's etc. In addition, the bit rate of MP3s: I have several albums in 320kbit CBR and FLAC versions exist, have compared several times with each other. With the best will, I see no difference in the quality. What do you think, dear FLAC enthusiasts? Is this more apparent than real? Personally, I rather think that this may well be noticed at much more expensive speakers, primarily but remains only measurable ... Let me but, if you disabuse!
Particularly positive I noticed that you can run in parallel, the sources also. So I can connect my PC via minijack to RCA and-me link at the same time with a smartphone via Bluetooth to the speakers. The LED of Samson is beginning green when a truly hands with Bluetooth, Blue! A pity, because the blue looks very modern, the green color I like less. A matter of taste or tape will make the difference. Also great that I back on the right Samson box does not have to constantly press the new PAIR button to pair my phone again. Even after you take away the power. Think of the purpose behind it is only being considered on the first-time pairing. Perfect!
Speaking of power consumption: The also noticed me very green: Measured with Inspector II electricity meter energy costs meter with large display. In toggle switch (on the back of the right box) OFF state flows 0.0 watt, after power 4.9 Watt. In Bluetooth mode 4.9 Watt. And the great, the consumption increased only slightly in the first (I would say) quarter of the maximum volume. Speak at a normal volume level around 5-7 watts. At slightly louder room volume> 10 Watt. At very high volume to 20-25 watts. Because they were really very noisy, even though I have the limit thus not yet exhausted. For me, a very important point, because I use the system as a truly clean stereo sound before the PC have (built in the triangle, about 1.80 m apart), and I do not ever my receiver, which consumes about 30-40 Watt must turn.
These studio speakers produce significantly more bass than you would expect in their volume. I had there in advance a little concern about whether me a PC system would be sufficient without a subwoofer. But for my needs more than adequate! And I know what a clear bass of a subwoofer 250 EUR, in line with a 7.2 receiver causes Of course no comparison;)
Small tip still in the end: If the speakers are to be connected to the PC, but you prefer to have the control box on the left side: no problem, just at the entrance of Samson switch the RCA cable from white to red. However, then Bluetooth couplings would obviously mirrored (l> r, r> l)
For those who want to act as a PC solution for the next step of 2.1 Brüllwürfel systems towards a more reasonable-sounding speakers, slam! You will not regret it, the price difference, in my opinion worth huge!
Addendum 11.24.2014:
Now, after 2 more days even more sparkle in the eyes! I can only advise you to deal a little bit with the equalizer. For my taste got a little reduced the centers and made minor corrections in the treble and bass. For me the Samson Media One BT5 now sound fantastic! I am sure that they are "fine-tuned" gets corresponding to each of his personal requirements ...
