I compared 3 different models with each other:
Nikon D5100
Nikon D3100
Canon 600D
The Canon counterpart fell through even before the first turn. Haptics and processing do not correspond to my expectations, here Nikon has MMN deutlichst ahead.
started with the Nikon D3100, which I liked unrestricted except for a detail, but eventually went back to Amazon. The display of "small" Nikon dissolves much too low and is not to be used basically. I, however, the snap happy get an overview of whether I produce "useful" came the Nikon D3100 for me not in question.
The logical consequence was now, of course, the D5100. Starting with the display, which dissolves 4x higher than the D3100, the D5100 can do everything just a little bit better. Many small details were missing the D3100 now have nevertheless proved to be very useful.
Be it the ability to create auto bracketing or easy to use just one mirror lock. The integrated creating a HDR image also makes fun.
My conclusion: The D3100 makes many things really well, little really bad. The D5100 makes things a little bit better and scores with a vast range of functions. The only complaint I would have in my eyes, the menu is not always logically structured.
