The rescue medium generated by the software was previously bootable in any of the versions used by me on a Neurechner. Despite frequent updates, it took many months each until the rescue CD was adapted to the change in hardware, although the medium is based on Linux and could boot all distributions. The same problem occurred even with the latest version 2014. The month period we had failed because of simultaneous problems with Windows 8.1. Acronis referred therefore to the fee-based support and was not prepared to rectify the full operability. As a result, the manufacturer sells a program that is deficient and want this malfunction only resolve if the customer pays again. I confess to thoroughly that it may not be easy, a rescue medium on any hardware - in our case, each a dual-CPU workstation with SSD and HDD Raid - bootable adapt. Nevertheless, it is not acceptable to make the lack of freedom of software by pay support paid by the buyer.
In my view at least equivalent to the assumption that Acronis ignored its obligations under the liability for defects to generate another source of income. Poor form and also legally problematic. A positive evaluation is ruled out thereafter.
