Sleepwalker (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Brandon Smith, guitarist with Apoptygma Berzerk, skin us here with his promising young band from LA The Anix a melodic Electronica-Dark-rock album around the ears, which is in my opinion particularly well done!
Unlike its predecessor, '"Demolition City' 'sound' 'Sleepwalker' 'much more mature and tougher. I like the tightly woven sound carpets very well. Brandon's gorgeous longing and sad sounding voice comes to '' Endlessly '' and '' Burn '' perfectly expressed.
Producer of brilliant disc was among others Jürgen Engler (ex-The-Krupp), the brothers Stephan and Jonas Groth of Apoptygma Berzerk contributed their skills at.
The supplied remix album contains new versions of the Sleepwalker songs a goodie with a difference: the cover of The Cure's 'Burn'. As Cure fan of the 80s and 90s, I must confess that I The Anix 'version is still causing more goose bumps than the original. Simply stunning!
Anspieltipps my part:
Sleepwalker, glass, Endlessly, as well as cover versions of Cry Little Sister and Burn.
Since I was able to experience the band several times in 2009 as a Support of Apoptygma Berzerk, I am very pleased to see you again soon on German stages. Live these Dark rock beads that guarantees a Tic be harder :-)
"'Sleepwalker'" might as well act as a soundtrack to a comic book movie ... maybe the excellent illustrator and comic maniac Brandon Smith has first negotiations already underway in this regard ;-)
