Revolver (original recording remastered) (CD)

Customer Review

On the advice of Hervé.j, here we begin a new series of reviews devoted to groups offering albums in black and white covers, and after The Jet, what better than to start with the most famous of them: the "Revolver" by the Beatles!

Published in 1966, succeeding the sumptuous "Rubber Soul," "Revolver" always proves to listen, after almost 50 like a pure jewel of pop chiseled, almost perfect album (even when we issue some reservations about the "indianeries "George Harrison's" Love you to "and" Tomorrow never knows "), a concise album, sober and whose themes still appear valid. Thus, the tax hysteria denounced in "Taxman" is more than ever a scourge that must be fought with the utmost vigor. money certainly does not buy happiness, but we must still leave a bit to keep the pot boiling! Note that this title will impress many Jam which almost identically resume its agreements on "start" Album "sound affects."

All pieces are fabulous, the symphonic "Eleanor Rigby," the wanderer "I'm only sleeping," the lullaby "Here, there and everywhere" and even the crazy "Yellow Submarine" learned in class .... The 5th result is in keeping with highlight the extraordinary and very rhythm & blues "Got to get you into my life" which inspired our national Johnny up ....; definitely my favorite Beatles album with "Rubber Soul". The Japanese collection a bit dubious discovery this weekend (see comment of "Live at the Hollywood Bowl") offers alternative takes the recording sessions several albums the Fab Four with "Revolver". If interested few hardcore bombers .... The Alternative Revolver.

When next we will leave for New Zealand!
