The plant was, as always, delivered quickly from Amazon, has convinced with good sound, great look and a clear menu. About the built-in equalizer, the sound was quite well adjusted to my personal preferences. The built-iPhone / iPod dock is a nice little bonus, in year 3 after the Lightning connector, I can with the 30-pin connector but no longer do much.
All in all I am very satisfied with the system. Nevertheless, I have to change it once and have them eventually returned.
The problem:
All iOS devices suffer from regular and strong Bluetooth connection problems. First, I naturally tried all the possible sources of error, but nothing helped. In the household, there is a iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, an iPad Air and iPad Mini Retina. Whether iOS 7 or 8 now released iOS: Every few minutes or at least once an hour to lose the facility to connect to the iOS device. The device itself plays the music continues from, but appears on the display of the Yamaha plant that is newly searched for the Bluetooth device. So on the iOS devices, it can not be, since all easily worked with an erected for testing purposes at the same place Creative D100 Bluetooth speaker and also with a Samson BT1 system in the office, there were never problems.
Test, I have the plant over several androids (Moto X, Samsung Galaxy Alpha), as well as Windows Phone 8 devices (Lumia 630, 830 and 930) connected. All units ran without any problems with the Yamaha.
The support from Yamaha referred me unfortunately only on the usual general tips (place of the device, interference etc) and could not or would not confirm a fundamental problem in interaction with Apple / iOS devices. Hoping to have received a defective unit, I then an exchange on Amazon causes (as always: great service from Amazon) and last week joined the replacement facility. Unfortunately, everything remained the same.
I regret this very lack, because I know a few alternatives to Yamaha. Still, it's no good: Without Bluetooth playback, the system is worthless to me.
