I've tested these adapters in different cars. The contact-making was not very good, but would not have led me to an award of a single star. After recently moving into the car socket a useful contact was to produce and the charging of standard USB devices without standalone falling out of the adapter possible. The emphasis here is on standard, because at a maximum current rating of 500mA everything worked. You now charged with the adapter 1A, which now also use a lot of equipment (in my case, an external USB battery pack), the voltage drops after a few seconds sharply below the required 5V. I have "sacrificed" an adapter and am the matter gone to the bottom. Inside work ELT a SMD Switching voltage converter, which is so hot when loaded with 1A in a few seconds (!) That you burn to it. In addition, the current must still by a choke with about 1m Ø 0.15mm wire, which also heats up and the other components so that additional heating up. All in all for 1A technically completely unsuitable. This can be explained well why some equipment is not - or not long - work. Whoever connects consumers who actually consume the 1A, will cause the part to secure "fry". The dealer / manufacturer should check his information and modify or only sell parts that comply with the specification. I think this is also not a question of the price! - Or it is ensured that not destroy the "fuming" the 12V from the car jack connected devices?
I have certainly returned the remaining 2 adapters. The rescission and refund worked exemplary.
