FIRST IMPRESSION:
After unpacking initially falls even on the somewhat unusual keyboard. Acer has here decided to reduce the key and insert it at a greater distance between them. When you tap the presents no problems. I meet all the keys well, only the pressure point is still very vague. The arrow keys are, however, absolutely tiny and the smallest version that I've ever seen in a netbook.
BATTERY AND DURATION:
The included battery is only a model with four cells. Its predecessor, there was a six-cell battery. On the one hand you lose hereby duration, on the other hand, the dimensions of the battery but smaller and this does not project more downward beyond the bottom case. I have tested the runtime of the netbook with a tool under two conditions. In the battery-friendly version achieved the Netbook 5: 43h, at the maximum possible power consumption 2: 40h. The test details are included below. Loading the netbook on an extremely compact AC adapter with swivel power cord. This is not only small but also light and easy to carry very well thus. A picture of the power supply I added the product images.
SPEED:
The operating speed of the Aspire One is fine and moves in netbook typical areas. One may here certainly did not expect too much. Although the AMD APU has two cores, device in many applications but a good sweat. Compared to its predecessor, the APU has the opportunity to increase the pace of their cores of 1 GHz standard clock to 1.33GHz when needed. The netbook remains always quite quiet and it's just hard to hear when writing texts. Thanks to the brisk integrated graphics can be HD videos play smoothly. Only a playback software that uses the graphics card to decode video is necessary. The VLC Media Player and the Windows Media Player are capable of doing. Who wants, the image can then pass them on TV via HDMI to be set. In addition, is still a VGA output.
PARTICULARITIES:
As a special feature, the device also has one more USB 3.0 port to offer and the wireless module controlled wireless networks in the 5 GHz range.
The netbook can be had very easily opened to gain access to memory and hard drive. It only has to be taken out and a single screw on the front of the unit, are dissolved below the touchpad of the battery. Then can the entire base plate slide easily forward and remove. Among them are found then the hard disk and memory and also has access to the fan, if you have to clean it if necessary once. There is unfortunately only one slot for memory available. Simply add a second module thus can not.
CONCLUSION:
All in all, my Acer Aspire One 725 very much. It is a successful update to the latest chipset. Just USB 3.0 one finds not in very many netbooks. The ability to play HD material I like, particularly in conjunction with the HDMI output, very good. For people who are very much on the road, a six-cell battery would have been better than the variant with four cells. Whether one goes the term, everyone must decide for themselves. For my purposes it is sufficient in any case and therefore I forgive the full five stars.
