The last heroes 9 - The Fortress of Frost Wurms of David Holy (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Originally conceived as an episode of Lost act, we finally hold a new edition of the last heroes in hands. A lot of fans - myself included - have had to wait a long time for this day (although I have come much earlier as a subscriber to enjoy the episodes 8-13). But how did this break?

With the publication of the first act quickly became apparent a great affection of the fans to the three protagonists. Since the last heroes but was originally conceived as an anthology series (with each act the stories of new main characters should be told that would be summarized in the final fourth act to the grand finale), we have X, Amon and Eye only briefly in the second and then met again in the fourth act.

In order not to disappoint the fans, writer and producer David Holy ruled much of the originally planned second act (the former title The totgeweihte child) to merge into a single giant episode. It was the episode The totgeweihte child (7), in which it is essentially about the boy Adran. At the same time work on the lost act began. These were to the aforementioned story three characters that should be told as a supplement to the original action. During the development of these episodes, the production team decided then but to dissolve the lost act and to publish the episodes designed for this purpose as the second act, entitled The Lord of the Dead. (What will happen to the originally planned episodes of the second act, has not yet been decided then, but the subscribers have the episode Monastery of horror already received)

Finally thus comprises the second act the episodes: The totgeweihte child (7), The Tournament of Wizards (8), The Fortress of Frost Wurms (9), Swamp of Oblivion (10), The temple of immortality (11) and in the country Dead rainbow (12). Then it goes to the third act of the heir to the Silver Star Empire with the episode The legacy of the Silver Star Empire (13) more (subscribers is also before).

The here now This ninth episode is the second of five episodes which plays in Hades. Consequently, the mood and narrative style is different than in the first act. We know much more about X and its past. The new figures add up very skillfully in the previous squad, and each country in the realm of the dead are surprisingly different than you might expect. The narrated actions are noticeably faster staged in than the previous, but also create a darkly oppressive atmosphere. The speakers are wiedermal cast excellently and make a really good job (including Hennes Bender). The sound design is expected to be excellent: atmospheric music, varied soundscapes.

In this sense: many thanks to David Holy and the team of the last hero. Keep it up!
