... But anno 1995, Rammstein so nasty as it never should be again. The album kicks off the first reef a violently and skin the listener a catchy tune after another around the ears. Rammstein were never particularly innovative, Laibach and Oomph! were all too clearly the inspiration for the work, but they combined the sounds of the bands mentioned sawing guitars with a sound that was unrivaled. What "Herzeleid" also makes that sardonic lyrics that are often misunderstood by critics are. Example: "White meat", a song that you see as a glorification of killing, when the narrator was not going to come out as sick.
Rammstein went to her first work much more carefree and to experiment to work, as they did on the following Albem - heartache stands out not least by a certain "charm of loonies" and the fact that, as Lindemann is hiring again, to really sing, he hardly meets a tone. Refreshingly!
All in all one can really enjoy the CD at full volume and let go through from start to finish. One star deduction, there is only because the high level of hammer pieces "Do you want the bed in flames see", "Ashes to Ashes", "You smell so good" or even "White Meat" can not be maintained throughout. But all in all still better than so many other things, "New German Hardness" comes out of the corner.
