Review:
I'm using the chop saw now relatively intensively for 2 weeks and I am very satisfied. The information on the depth of cut and the angle measurements are accurate. The cutting depth is even slightly better than indicated.
After small settings (laser guide rails) the cut was already very clean and straight. The processing of the whole machine is very high and makes mE already in the league of artisan devices. Multiple adjustment options for tilting and skewing enable winding section which can be adjusted in both axes. Thus no wishes are open to the specified cutting depth. Very good, smooth and high quality are all adjustment and rails. Since wobbles and rattles nothing. This is still workmanship.
For longevity, I can currently tell anything yet. But I will adjust my review if necessary at any abnormalities.
minor niggles:
- The collection bin for wood chips is largely rather show. A maximum of 50% of the chips are trapped here. Therefore, I have connected my building Auger instead of the collection bag. In order for the cleaning effort after pottering is significantly more reduced than with the naked catch bag.
- The included manual is rather very poor and is essentially limited to a schematic representation of the device, in which the individual elements are merely referred to in the form of a legend. Well I have already gained experience with such equipment in advance and therefore equally found the right places in order to solve the retaining bolt and Transport blockages. A newcomer will certainly have starting problems here. Alone for safety reasons the manual should be a little more extensive. Because the risk of injury due to operator error is generally higher than other craftsmen and DIY equipment.
- The machine is running at full speed directly. A quiet start (can be disabled) would be my opinion not only gentler on the machine but also more relaxed for the operator. But this can also be more of a personal premise.
