I use the player as follows:
- Than screen I use the ACER HN274H with corresponding HDMI version (also on Amazon to have). One should the included Acer HDMI cable
Use any case. The advantage is the compatibility to NVIDIA together with 3D shutter glasses.
- As an audio system I use 'ne good old stereo system from Schneider.
Experiences:
- They should, in principle (for 3D mode) use a completely darkened room like in the movies. Disrupts Each electric light.
But then I could see both of Blu-ray Disc 3D, as well as converted 2D to 3D TV in surprisingly good quality.
No shadow, disturbances or blurring. Maybe because I have been lucky.
- The Internet connection works fine (DSL). Have had successfully undergone a FW.- update among others.
- External USB 2.0 drive with NTFS formatted MPEG2 videos from different directories easily reproduced (display appears only in a list).
- User interface very well done, except for the Sendernummerrierung. I have since helped me with Favorites, then only numbered.
- (!) What expectations and documented does not work, is ready for 3D television recordings. This could possibly be still on the monitor, which
apparently only the standard for Blu-ray 3D dominates it (1.4a) or not all variants. If I as yet have knowledge (in Febr.2012 ARTE HD sends yet
times so what), I will still review. May well be that a Samsung 3D television can pull this off, is' ne conjecture.
- Recording and Editing 'normal' program on the 1TB drive is working fine with me.
- Time shift work as specified.
- I have not tested network functions or USB export for copying or similar, because you already can not use the recordings as readily.
All in all, it's a great and reliable device ... the use in 3D mode but probably rather a matter of taste, - glasses, darkened room.
We love it, from time to time to play the movies. The use of 3D shutter glasses from NVIDIA is also suitable for eyeglass wearers.
The first time it seemed to us to be a bit annoying, but after the 2nd or 3rd film had no problems as more so.
The device itself can be well recommended, but you should know before buying, or seek advice where to connect it to 3D also
