Very enjoyable I find that there are some improvements over previous models are at Philips.
Positive I would note especially the following points:
- The contour adjustment has been improved (very good especially on the chin)
- The 3 Heads have 3 rotary blade-rings now, so that the shaving-speed has been improved
- The unit is relatively quiet, especially compared to the noisy Brown a boon
- A battery charge lasts for more than 2 weeks since you can leave the future waive's charging cable
- The shaving is much gentler than the old Philishave
- No leakage "Rasiermehl"
- Quick and easy cleaning (of course under the tap possible).
The cleaning issue for me was the way also the main reason why I have not bought a device from the stylisheren and perhaps even wertigeren RQ series (Arcitec), there you have that is 3 chambers auffriemeln individually, have tried this in the shop sometimes, is not my case. This is the HQ 8250 (only one large chamber) really better and faster.
Since the Philips but certainly has a few weak points, there's me only 4 star:
- Especially on the upper lip, the shaving is even with firm pressure and frequent back and forth is not really smooth
- On sideburns approach Philips is still too imprecise
- Longer hair (. Eg the neck) were better taken from the old Philishave
- The charge status indicator (a yellow LED will light up before the battery runs out of juice) logs on too late, under certain circumstances is not a complete shave longer possible (annoying, especially when there is no power cord is at hand).
Well, the perfect razor's probably just not, at least not in this price range (around 100, - Euro). The bottom line is there's me for the HQ 8250, despite the small negatives, due to the very good price-performance ratio still a buy recommendation.
