DC in "Prologue Book II And The Escape From The Dursleys" shows the great composer that he can vary his predecessor wonderful. The topics to Harry and Hogwarts return in a gentle way and accompany the escape from the Dursleys. And you're arrived again in the world of Zauberlehrings and eagerly awaited the second year on the Zauberschuel ...
"Fawkes The Phoenix" is the new and enchanting theme for "The Chamber of Secrets": A beautiful melody to Fawkes, whose style but does not deviate from the Potter Sound and integrates perfectly with the music. Here Williams shows his Speizialitäten namely the creation of new and fascinating subjects and "Fawkes The Phoenix" is one of his top league. Definitely one of the highlights on the CD and a great ear candy!
The Chamber of Secrets itself gets its own topic and that in "The Chamber of Secrets". A more troubled and yet magical motif, which still gives the score more depth.
"Gilderoy Lockhart" is the theme for the slimy teacher Lockhart that accompanies perfectly the deceitful and hypocritical character of him. One can literally be annoying smirk before eyes, very succeeded, Mister Williams.
With "The Flying Car" it goes straight to the point more quickly and a very fast-paced scene finds its music, with dramatic elements. For this purpose, it creates the composer to kreiieren an upbeat music that conveys a feeling of flying. At the end there is a wonderful variation on the theme Harry.
"Knockturn Alley" is dark and gloomy with a small variation of the theme at the end of Hogwarts when Harry meets Hagrid.
A nice counterpart is "Introducing Colin" with elements of "The Philosophers Stone" when Harry and Co arrive in the great hall.
"The Dueling Club" is the music for the corresponding scene. Some great variations of Lockhartmotivs with exciting passages, especially in the middle of the track to win a great dynamism and ends very bleak.
It is very nice that Williams incorporates another issue in "Dobby The House Elf" and indeed a beautiful, playful and interesting motive for the small house elf. This sounds incredibly charming, especially towards the end of the title is very pompous.
"The Spiders" is pure action and very good one at that: A fast-paced and quick piece that is always driving and revels in the end.
"Moaning Myrtle" begins with ghostly choir inserts, as in the first part, while "Meeting Aragog" is very dark and oppressive again. Here comes the "Chamber of Secrets" - subject to use and at the end of the music is very threatening and would really crowded in the track "The Spiders", but the order here is not particularly chronologically ...
"Fawkes Is Reborn" is a nice reprise of the theme Fawkes- in a gentle and almost melancholy manner. This title gives the score again a graceful aspect.
The piece "Meeting Tom Riddle" is again a typical, dark track with the return of Voldemortthemas from Part 1. There are horrible chorus inserts that are used discreetly. The Voldemortthema blossomed at the end in its peak and impressed me again and again ...
To break up there is something easy to digest and although "Cornish Pixies" that seems wild and unmanageable just as the gnomes in the scene. And once again demonstrates his flair for Williams the right music for the mood, because you see the little blighters almost fly up in front of him.
"Polyjuice Potion" and "Cakes For Crabbe And Goyle" are a bit wittier tracks with loose versions of Hogwartthemas. The second title is to again very mystical with the discreet Voldemortthema.
"Dueling The Basilisk" begins with a great, majestic variation of Fawkesmotivs. Then it's on very thrilling and full of action when Harry competes against the basilisk. The "Chamber of Secrets" - theme is played very dramatic and choral inserts are now being used here is very large and impulsive. Some elements are likely to be known by Williams fans and likely memories to "Jurassic Park" call ...
"Reunion of Friends" is again an absolutely beautiful title that accompanies very gently and powerfully the end of the film, especially the Harry and- Hogwarts topics variations are great and even Dobby's theme is heard once more, and especially the end gives me more goose bumps than The back! Here Harry Potter is heard in all its beauty and magic ...
"Harry's Wondrous World" is almost the same track, as on its predecessor and is the end credits. Sounds to some uninspired, for me the title fits perfectly again, leaving the score in one of my favorite pieces end, so a grand final, this fantastic sequel!
Even if the pieces are not in chronological order, and as the music is missing from the Quidditch game so convinced of this soundtrack by its new facets. Not just a better version of the first CD, but a fabulous development of music!
Fans can listen to 70 minutes of wonderful composition of the Grand Master John Williams again. A (again) innovative work, with new and powerful themes and a unique passion. You can also experience the second Potter from another site without pictures and dialogue, but with feeling!
