Distortion, vignetting and chromatic aberrations can be corrected by means of a button with satisfactory results in CanonŽs DPP (Digital Photo Professional), as long as the record or the image was created in RAW format. Of course, the basis of these EBV-aids from the EF-S 17-85 is not a top lens, but I personally can live with the results. The image stabilization is very effective (three stops) and AF is fast, accurate and quiet. The quality of the material used is average. Who knows the EF 28-135, 24-85 or EF EF 28-105, who knows well the EF-S 17-85. Eben CanonŽs middle class (metal bayonet, ring-type USM, distance scale). The build quality is ok. This lens will accompany me on my day trips with lighter loads. For architectural photography, this lens is definitely not suitable. For portrait and LowLightfotografie is limited recommendable (low light intensity). Do I need a higher quality in the WW and more intensity, then comes my Tamron AF 17-50 F2.8 for use.
