For 3 years, Laurent MAUDOUX (32 years) offers its regular delivery of the series Freaks' Squeele. The universe of this series brings a bit of Harry Potter (see the context of a school ... gothic superhero), a tiny bit of Marvel Comics (cf. the Young Avengers), a graphic, a rendering of movement and color layout "manga" and a good dose of Franco-Belgian irony. If MAUDOUX is confirmed to be a talented graphic designer, even virtuoso, in this 3rd volume, history (struggle between two superheroes schools, various initiations) and presentation of the characters appear to skate. The lack of an "editor" is felt a bit more than the first two volumes, perhaps because MAUDOUX cared beside many other things. The set remains pleasant with enough cool characters and cliff hangers to predict buying the recently published 4th volume.
