Tested with: set AJA System Test (freeware) on: 1GB Full HD Video File
Environment: Have the My Book connected to my iMac via FireWire 800. Here, the MyBook is configured as a RAID 0 and is directly related to the single Firewire 800 port on the iMac's (27 inches) - a Drobo depends on the My Book (also via Firewire 800) and is thus looped through - because the iMac has only one Firewire port the only chance. At the My Book configuration nothing was changed. Conducted out of the box and immediately connected and benchmark. iMac = 10.6.3
Tip: Have all data for everyday use on the My Book and can handle due to the high speed flawlessly large Photo collections, videos, etc.. Leave the My Book then back on the Drobo via Time Machine. Thus, nothing can happen except flood, fire and other contingencies; o)
