After the Beurer WL 30 had so many negative reviews for the complicated operation I did not want to. This model seemed to be the successor, I hoped that it might be better. What the operator has concerns itself since even well-done thing, the absurdity of the alarm on or to turn off eight times to press a key there is no longer here. The three buttons on the right and left allowing the setting of the clock, alarm and so reasonably intuitive. But this device is more pretty than practical: The buttons are on the rounding poorly accessible to safely lift the device are their labels on the rounding difficult to see. A backlight there as opposed to WL 30 not to read the clock in the dark must man on top of the device, press to turn on the light. That would not be such a problem if not so automatically following switching sequence is triggered: 1) Night Light / Uhrbeleuchtung 2) Knock light full brightness 3) "mood lighting" colorful 4) finally out Whoever is not alone in the room so that will awaken any photosensitive people. Much better would be if the device this episode would push only in quick succession and otherwise off with even a light pressure easily again. I personally would have liked an illuminated clock. KO criterion for me was above all that the Knock light is quite weak. It is at level 9 (maximum brightness) just as bright as the Philips HF3505 at level 3 out of 10, or about how a weak bedside lamp. The device is as light alarm clock so only recommended for very sensitive people. Moreover, I have no sounds such as birdsong to wake up.
Positive compared to the HF3505 is that it has a battery-Gangreservere, for three AAA batteries are required which are not supplied.
