Basically, after the purchase:
I got first delivered a Monday model. The cover on the left side and the rear cover creaked unfortunately. It did not particularly good impression. But actual return reason was that no longer load the Tablet allowed. The Acer charger plug (a modified micro-USB connector with 12V) just wanted to no longer get stuck clean and load the Tablet. Only half drauflegen he came into contact. Unfortunately, the tablet can not be loaded via a 5V standard USB cable. So back to Amazon. Settlement was completely unproblematic.
Now I had to decide: I'll take it again, or do you prefer the competition? Everyone deserves a second chance, if need be it would halt go back.
But what stood out the same at the beginning. Without update it was pretty sluggish and slow. But Acer's there right fit and pushes out updates diligently. Meanwhile, there was even an update to Android 4.1.1. As other manufacturers should even take a leaf because the version is not yet available in many. The updates come every OverTheAir and install almost alone. So even for novices thanks.
For the better:
+ The display is neat. The resolution is great and when not iPad3 directly beside it and you look at it like a hawk, then everything is perfect. Clear it reflects in the sun. But to me once a an apple product, another tablet or a laptop to show where that is not the case. Who wants to read documents in the sun, should be one way or set a Kindle.
+ The battery is keeping very long. On average, in our one week. Even if you play the whole afternoon is enough in there, and then in the evening still to surf a little.
+ The update behavior of Acer is really great. Meanwhile, it's common for all manufacturers (including the apple) bring out only unfinished products and rectify only conditionally. That made Acer Tablet with this even, however, they are trying the error be rectified immediately.
+ The Android on the tablet is almost original. That is, Acer has reworked switched off only very little and mostly.
+ The Tegra3 chipset has become really fast after a few updates. It's now really fun to work with.
+ The workmanship is good. What is clear is brushed metal beautiful ala Apple, but scratched faster. However, the structured surface brings a certain value. Fits so.
Negatives:
- While it is probably more of a Androidproblem, but some apps do not seem to get along so well with the great resolution. And mainly at the renowned Appherstellern. Too bad, because the cloud the pleasure with the Tablet.
- Charging with the charger cable is indeed fast and works great, but it would have been nice if you at least could load a bit with a 5V connector. That would take forever is already clear, but just if you take a short ... Anyway, is not, therefore, minus.
- Where we are at the USB level. The charging port is also the USB master for sticks. Ergo: Charging and USB flash drive at the same time is not possible. Via the position one can argue, but the side would probably have been more favorable.
- The camera has no flash. Ok you do not position yourself with your tablet to take pictures out for gibts also phones or cameras, but if lightning had it, there would be no purpose Minus.
- The microphone is attached unfavorable and has a poor Rausschunterdrückung and background noise reduction. It wipes near around, so you can forget about video calling because the opposite knows nothing more. Is it possible to naturally deal with a headset, but it's still ugly.
So that's it now. The tablet is therefore recommended with the current software version and minor degradation.
