Who knows Steve Jablonsky, who certainly know what's coming. In sophisticated and complex melodic sequences you can not hope here, instead there are epic, atmospheric rhythms with powerful bass and dramatic strings deposits.
And so also Enders War, the first track of the score begins. The main theme is introduced and is equal to that Jablonsky with a cello works at the front, just as it did in the first Transformers score. This motif is then varied especially in songs like The Battle Room beautifully and can ever cause goose bumps! Through the whole soundtrack to this piece, Anspieltipps are pulling this also Salamander Battle, The Way We Win Matters and Commander. Really good the motive comes into play, when still the bombastic choir then begins (Salamander Battle!).
Besides Jablonsky done often a very dense atmosphere, although in typical Remote Control style, yet effective. Here we hear from time to time even rudimentary parallels to the Halo game soundtracks by Michael Salvatori and Michael O'Donnell, especially to Halo Reach, I think.
Very nice, but I find that Jablonsky composed the action this time a little more discreet, but not powerless. Especially Final Test convincing than a six-minute piece Power with a great building!
For this purpose the Hörfluss is fabulous and you can this soundtrack without problems for several times more than that with each new passage we find new strengths to the score. And in the 70 minutes (21 tracks) you get to hear some of the highlights! Very nice also the finale from track 17 developed!
Conclusion: A Jablonsky how I love him! Enders Game is an entertaining and impulsive atmospheric Action Core, with beautiful high drama and power. A milestone in film music should not expect, but friends of Hans Zimmer & Co are here definitely can not go wrong, great score!
