I bought the lamp for use in a relatively small room (~ 16sqm), as a replacement for a broken uplight. The lamp is good, but of course not perfect: Positives: o It is much brighter than an ordinary light bulb, as the most energy-saving lamps. The room she lit wonderfully made (about 80% of the light output of 300W-powered ceiling lamp, which get there -> 250/300 ~ = 0.83; at one sixth of the energy consumption) o it does not flicker o the color temperature is pleasant to work, not blue, not yellow
Negatives: o during the first 2-3 days you smell something unpleasant, even if this is to endure quite - but the smell will disappear with time
In Addition: o as almost every other light bulb is for about 15 minutes so hot that they can not touch. o You need a few minutes to get from ~ 80% of its brightness to 100%. Whether that is negative or positive, is a matter of opinion - Other energy-saving lamps need much longer and are much less luminous, less the turning
