The device was packaged in a small cardboard box, this one in comprehensible German and held in English user manual. In addition, the lid of the pocket balance is also an english manual glued. A calibration weight of 100.00 g was in its own protective container also contributes, yet also a black leather sheath for the pocket scale. And of course, two AAA batteries for immediate use. The scope of supply is therefore entirely satisfactory.
After inserting the batteries, the pocket balance is switched on by tapping on the ON / OFF mark of the touch screen - the screen is now illuminated in blue. The touch screen is very sensitive, a very gentle tap is already sufficient. Tapping the MODE-marking of the touch screen can be used as weight unit between gram (g), grain (gn), carats (ct), penny weight (dwt) and ounce (oz) are elected. In the manual, the unit weight "troy ounce (ozt)" is listed, but this unit weight does not exist and therefore can not be selected, but are not mentioned in the manual unit weight "Grain (GN)" is selectable.
Tapping the Z / T-marking the tare weight of an overlying container can be removed, the display will return to "000.00" on. The weighing platform is very delicate, a closed weighing process is therefore the top left display and visually by the appearance of a small circle. Even the oaks with the enclosed calibration is done in a few seconds. Turns off the pocket scales. Either by tapping ON / OFF or by the power-saving feature that turns off the scale after 1 minute of inactivity by itself
In addition, there is a useful quantity function, the scale is calibrated in advance by 25, 50 75 or 100 pieces are placed on the weighing platform. Then the balance always indicates the number of the item to be weighed. Example: I oak balanced with 25 tablets, and put then a not counted handful same tablets on the weighing surface. Now she shows me how many there are. Practical thing!
I use the balance mainly in the kitchen for weighing of spices and baking ingredients, but who stuffs eg. Cigarette itself, can therefore also make sure that you always use the same amount of tobacco and thus to obtain the same taste as possible cigarette. Usually one takes namely the amount "rule of thumb" to obtain either so light cigarettes that are smoked in a very short time - or so firm cigarettes that come to mind when sucking the cheeks. Now I always take 0.70 g (+/- 0.02 g) tobacco for cigarettes and am satisfied. Side effect: I now cram even more cigarettes with the same amount of tobacco.
All in all, well worth the unit both in terms of price as well as in the variety of applications. That is why I would buy this device at any time. My Recommendation!
Only suggestion: For the lid still a manual in German to enclose Selbsteinkleben!
