Stagnation at a high level

After the first listening test I was completely disappointed and even now, when I know the board well and some pieces have become fond of, is bitterness. 'Sam's Town' is definitely worse than its predecessor - and because 'Hot Fuss' is not only a really brilliant masterpiece. Too many of the new songs fail to pick me up there where me 'Hot Fuss' has left behind after the last piece. The average ear candy density is much lower, the production part very used to. Every now and then the lost gelaubte genius flashes yet again: In pieces like 'When You Were Young', 'Bling (Confessions Of A King)', 'Read My Mind' and the beautiful 'Why Do I Keep Counting', the an absolutely perfect structural features (the first 65 seconds have goosebumps) she comes back, the old celebratory mood, the merciless overstatement, for the I love the Killers so. 'For Reasons Unknown' (what a bridge!) Scars, however, solely because of the strange production of the first stanza narrowly at the Hall of Fame by: Brandon Flowers has a great voice - she shows too! So I keep on 'Sam's Town' five really strong songs in memory, displacing the weak rest and just hope that reflect the Killers at the next attempt again to their old strengths and make a real party album on the legs.
