So I've been looking forward about 26 years on this CD, which leads me to the positive parts of this review, because anticipation is well known, the greatest joy - but in this case also the joy of receiving the product is still very big ,
In "Hymns Spheres" seems to be a somewhere deep in ECM, or Keith Jarrett (or two) rooted subservience to the media to be present vinyl, because now been placed in total edition pays homage to the CD format of the double LP, the ECM as the was wonderful artwork equipped: cardboard sleeve around, the individual CDs in specially made Innensleeves, almost exactly copied interior layout. So it is a right Plattenreprint vintage format.
But happy, the CDs are not black, but the magnificent silver ECM discs and finally include the whole work, which in a previous silver disc already published by the former selection selection garbled therefore crawled (only the Sphere Movements 1, 4, 7 & 9 were ).
So finally: a hymn as a prelude, which indulges in baroque playfulness, the "Hymn of Remembrance". More an opener for the following.
Subsequently, the entire 9 Movements of "Spheres", which represent an orgy for lovers of organ music because Jarrett the tonal options of the instrument wonderful exploits, without too long in certain ideas to lose. Each Movement has its own charm and the small window that commanded the previous selection, was finally open all - and the organ wind, which blows in there, refreshing!
Unlike the previous four selections can be heard in the other five improvisations and fresher tones and also rythmischere variations. The whole cycle in any case should necessarily be seen as a unit and given its beauty, the decision is always diffuse comprehensible, just here with a selection to curtail the work.
The "Hymn of release" concludes the work worthy and around, a short distance, showing again in the Baroque (what's not wrong with a church organ).
Overall, therefore, an absolute buy recommendation from a "non-critical Jarrett disciples" for just such.
Critical listeners so check it out and reconsider the purchase, or it can be the same throughout.
