The strength of this book is that it is bilingual. Knowing English, I enjoyed reading this news directly as Burton hast written, and I read in the French part when I did not understand a word or idea. So, no need for dictionary to read this book, which is very convenient. For cons, I find it very unfortunate that the translator has tried to rhyme every line (as Burton does): I find that it greatly degrades the quality of the French side that is hard to read compared to the English section (and so do not really reflect what Burton wanted to write).
That said, the stories are short or very short (allowing to read from time to time) and the "burtonien" universe (or "Burtonesque") is present. However, if we smile often, the stories are not searched, and therein lies the problem: would I have liked (especially purchased) if this book was not written by Tim Burton himself? Unfortunately, I think the answer is no, hence the 3 stars.
