Good adventure score

Harry Gregson-Williams has always been one of my favorites from the RCP-wrought, with John Powell. Most prominent are definitely his two Narnia soundtracks that I can listen to over and over again! Prince of Persia he steered a middle eastern, exciting score when, in the style of it and typical remote control soundtracks, so who says the same, that it can begin not so much with these bulky Hollywood scores, which can look straight on , But who just has fun with driving rhythms and opulent Action passages who will come here at his own expense. In the foreground is a beautiful main theme, sounds the same in The Prince Of Persia. Although it, especially in the second half of scores, often reminds me of the Caspian theme of the second Narnia soundtrack, so it still has its strengths, especially in the first track!
Visible side issues there somehow not, for a good atmosphere, Williams created oriental, dense sounds, such as Goldsmith and Silvestri in the two Mummy scores.

Yes, all the comparisons to other soundtracks ... Unfortunately Williams work is not so special, there is not really something that makes the music unique. In addition, the CD something is because the main theme is not used as often and when the most subtle moves into the mid-term. Towards the end it comes but then again right off, with The Sandglass Chamber or Sands Of Time. And as mentioned, the beginning is great with the first piece, but also the second title Raid On Alamut shows Williams ability large battle scenes to accompany (at least it sounds like).

The song at the end is ok, a bit too pop-heavy, but okay and overall you get a solid 66 minutes music.
