Metroid Prime was a milestone in the series and has the world definitively demonstrated that only Nintendo knows how to turn 2D 3D quite loose - and the level even increases. It all started with Mario (Super Mario World => Super Mario 64), then moved to link (A Link to the Past => Ocarina of Time), and finally - after nine years - ventured also Samus Aran to jump into the third dimension (Super Metroid => Metroid Prime)
What the - until then completely unknown - have created studios with Metroid Prime guys and gals of retro, is amazing. It was thought at first, not very impressive screenshots yet that Metroid has degenerated into boring sci-fi shooter, so you could see while playing but fast that it actually produces the good old "Exploring" feeling of primal Metroid in 3D ,
Seriously, for me Metroid Prime is definitely one of the titles of the decade: Challenging, mainly thanks to the ULTRA COOL boss battles, gripping staged, atmospherically dense and graphically still presentable (By the way, also inspiring; the Wasserperl effect from Visor the Master Chief from HALO ^^ is knotless stolen from Metroid Prime).
So now the Trilogy, that is: The brilliant debut Shit of retro people and 2 not so brilliant, but still good sequels in a box. Graphically because of memory-guzzling new control although not as great as the Cube version, it is just the controller that makes the difference and yet it packs a shovel atmosphere. As an added bonus there's even a Achievemant system, which I find as Olle Gamerscore whore extremely satisfying.
All in all I can so the Trilogy for two reasons anyone Wii players:
(1) As can be clearly seen from above my ravings well, it is not just about three good games, but the trilogy that has been missing the Wii. Seriously, 95% of all Wii games do not even begin to as much fun as any part of the trilogy in the first 30 minutes - and of such a game bombs are equal to 3 (THREE !!) on a disc together; When you get such an offer ever again? Especially as Wii owners it unnecessary to answer the question.
(2) Nintendo, the Trilogy is no longer here; it was limited and is now available only as a residual item or used goods. Why do people have to just take their only Wii game, for the also be interested in core gamers with a penchant for action games, from the market when Nintendo, remains an unsolved mystery; probably it is them now suspect that the Mario-, Link and Samus fans remained faithful to them for so long, and now want the final change - and scare us. Nevertheless, should the very people who have missed the first part, see to it that they somehow get a copy; I promise that it is worth it!
