I have long been waiting for this headset and then bought a deliberately wired headset for DVDs or Playstation. However, the cable I have always annoyed at that the cable is not so long that I can comfortably far away from the TV sitting on the sofa. So I've always been waiting for a digital headphones on the market. Today it was time. The first reviews here convinced me. Since not a single negative was there I bought the same time my part. I've already waited a long time.
So I can connect the reviewers before me only. A very good headphones without wires. I can hear to move throughout the home without a noise. The headphones are very comfortable and enclosing the entire ear. The handset also press too tightly against the head. Unfortunately, this is the case with my cheap DJ model of Sennheiser. Since the ears do after prolonged wearing hurt. Not so here.
Really great is that you can adjust the bass on the station on devices with or without booster amplifier, such as a CD player. The surround sound is really very good for movies. The music with activated bass is very dynamic. This is also my most best headphones, which goes to the sound. Very good sound is at a very quiet setting for here is absolutely no noise to hear and indistinguishable sound of a wired headset. Ambient noise is hidden because it's a closed headphone. Oh yeah ... while I now on the keyboard Tap runs in the background very quiet headphones with the TV sound ... is the best, I can not hear the Tataturgeräusche. So the shield against external noise is really very good! Also no problems with the Wi-Fi router in the same room.
All settings (volume, bass or surround on / off) can be adjusted directly on the headphones. In addition, you can the bass or surround right on the transmitter on / off switch.
The great thing is also that are in the device RCA cable here. So the device can be easily connected to the television and can adjust the volume from now on directly via headphones. On TV you can now very quickly simply place it on mute and adjust the volume on the headphones independently.
I also realize for the RS 170 decided since he has surround sound and is to be used for both music and movies. But if you only listen to music will be any better off with the RS 180 since he has an open ear ... this may be the case of pure music of advantage.
Oh ... I have to try it 2 AAA batteries taken (Caution with normal batteries should not the handset to charge on the station are placed) to try out. The lying next 600 mAh batteries are now fully charged first in my battery charger. Goes faster than with the charging station. I had no desire to wait for 16 hours the first charge. Incidentally, who used Eneloop batteries or batteries higher than the accompanying with 600 mAh will surely come as 24 to more maturity! With standard batteries, the runtime is expected to be much higher than 24 since these have a higher capacity than batteries.
Very nice is also the place the headset on the station place when not in use. That looks very tidy.

Addendum 1 year later: Even after a move I had no reception problems. I am still very satisfied and the headphones work as the day with me.
