Looking for a suitable 2.1 speaker system for my new DIY HTPC based on a Raspberry Pi with XBMC media center I stumbled over the EDIFIER C2X 2.1. Due to the mostly very positive reviews in some PC and hi-fi magazines, I decided spontaneously to run and do not regret it. I in recent months already some 2.1 and 5.1 speaker systems have listened in the middle and lower price range I, I had a pretty good idea of my preferred sound characteristics, which I certainly do not consider myself to circle the audiophile fanatic, but absolutely certain claims relating to a good sound with clear treble and rich bass have. The loudspeaker system should equally look for his film and television as well suited for listening to rock music and classical music. However, this seemingly simple claims could not be realized so easily. With the pre-tested systems in the set of my price limit of 200 I was never really satisfied, as they have always tended either too strong in the one direction or another (Teufel Concept C 200, Logitech Z623, Trust XpertTouch, Creative T4). Especially I was disappointed by the Teufel Concept system because I had high hopes here.
The EDIFIER C2X 2.1 fulfilled but exactly all my sonic requirement right away: A pleasant tone with a good midrange and excellent heights that only so teeming with details and are reproduced crystal clear. Even the subwoofer level was very solid, but somewhat restrained in the soft volume range. At slightly higher Lautstäre but the bass is voluminous, dry and hard as they should be. Overall, almost all sounds like it should and playback quality of classical music can be proud of or to hear! In addition, at last I have a TV sound, as I imagine it - good separation of left and right as well as an impressive three-dimensional sound experience for movies, but also quietly spoken passages sound loud and clear. The Edifier C2X system has in any case in relation to price a very impressive sound quality. Visually I find the system to be very pleasant and not too intrusive. The external amplifier also has a lot of adjustment and connection options. Overall I am very happy that I landed after a long search when Edifier C2X system. Strong buy recommendation!
