What I like about Indridason generally, it is the atmosphere and the discovery of Iceland: his life (tough), its climate (horrible), landscapes (hostile), its inhabitants (depressive). The story usually goes in the background. But that is not the case here, the suspense is waiting for you and keeps us guessing until the end. And we also discovered an unusual facet of Iceland, namely immigration and the rise of racism. So a really interesting and enjoyable book to read.
