The adventure to Rufus offer adventure fare that goes very quickly by hand. A two-frustration places there are quite still, otherwise Daedalic avoids exemplary illogical puzzles, endless repetition of areas, long walking distances and any pixel Hunting. In addition, the inventory-calling is the speed of a Death Star-Standard door is a great thing, which makes almost forget the slowness of the operation of older Daedalic title. The price of freedom is of course a very short Time. Seven to nine hours, you will nibble on "Deponia". Those who have followed the preliminary reporting banished to also faced with the problem that he has seen almost all backgrounds already once. Here has Daedalics Marketing evidently simply given to the press, which has always been drawn finished, and many surprises will no longer exist for the fan. Perhaps we should raise here again a warning finger to tackle it a little quieter in future games. The inside of the cardboard box-Deponia reveals a screenshot presenting the solution for two of the puzzles. The real must not be yet.
A bit disappointed one must be from the interaction with the objects also. Where a the erupting "Edna" for practically every action served an appropriate comment, but Rufus has fallen fairly uncommunicative. In combination trials that do not work, he can often only its standard "reputation" comment for each individual inventory item from the stack, which is on the one hand and on the other hand confusing boring. As Rufus is set to music very appealing by Monty Arnold, that's doubly unfortunate. One would have the good Monty does not have the same five roles impress. The animations are repeated quite often, but see it from quite fantastic. Already Rufus' energetic suitcases Close to start is an outstanding success and leaves you wanting more. At the end of the game the graphic is a bit the (time?) Assumed breath.
The technique is still far from perfect here. But significantly better than the "Whispered World" or "A New Beginning", two games, with whom I was enormously but at loggerheads. On my machine, occasional crashes have occurred in Deponia, and seem to occur with others implying also frequent. This problem, the developers seem to be been well aware: In order to keep the crash frustration factor low, Deponia automatically saves at each screen change, crashes "clean" on the desktop and can be started immediately. This is of course still a visible crutch, but - also due to the lack of copy protection - an amazingly functional. So the right direction at Daedalic and Deponia in all areas, which is why it only "thumbs up" can mean from me.
