"Behind the glass" is a novel based on the story. Characters who really existed, as Cohn-Bendit, alongside students, teachers and assistants, who have not exactly existed but which represent types of real characters. The ambiance of Nanterre, attitude, interests of the centers, the dreams of the students are fully described. The reader is transported into the excitement of the time, its splinter groups left. It is planned in the administrative tower of the Nanterre students occupied by a symbol. A symbol can be, but to what avail? The students then are very similar to those of today. Dreams, words but to change anything in the end? "Behind the glass" is far from the best work of Robert Merle but as always with him, one is holding their breath and you do not pick the pages!
