My optimizations for longer shelf life according to the motto "Do it right or do it again" ..
- I have first the side parts together very tightly on edge with black cable ties (guaranteed rustproof) connected
- After that I integrated into every corner a 90cm long dark green plant stake from the local hardware store with additional cable ties tight - Ok, now has the whole thing a lot more stability!
- I have the bottom afterwards with dark green (OK, no one looks me in the assembly ...) closed grid wire, again with plenty of black cable ties on all sides
- According to the IKEA-principle: the part is only stable if all the items are connected now obtained a quite stable in unit
- Because the corner rods are approximately 20cm longer the composter can thus be anchored in the ground
Surcharges:
- Approximately 100 cable ties and 4 planting rods dark green (together around 6 Euro)
- A role green "Kanichendrahtgitter" (around 7 euros)
= In total so around 13 euros and the longer assembly time
Conclusion: Who has enough time / desire to optimize receives for little money a viable solution
PS: Yes, I love the sound of the ratchet cable tie :-)
