Tunnel of Love (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Of course, Bruce Springsteen was for "Born in the USA" sit on no more, but considering the fact that his successor would work one way or another stand in the shadow of his predecessor, he has mastered the whole thing pretty well.
If I personally think the '80s - so if I see for example films of that time - then it seems to me repeatedly as before, as would run in the background a song from "Tunnel of Love". Although I have the music of the 80's actually rather small treasures - the exception proves the rule - I connect, despite rather monotonous, smooth ironed music as it prevails on this record, consistently positive feelings with the deeds of the Boss from those days - and be it ever so trendy, yet so schmaltzy songs ...
This fact alone makes me -Befürworter befitting a "Tunnel of Love".

And the album 1 all other helpful numbers starts quite differently than one might believe or come after Track no. On the handset flown or, rather, been suspended (for a rock album is "Tunnel of Love" certainly not! !) as it makes you feel a the opening sequence (country-soulful entry).
Power also nothing. I especially like the part out audible Country-influences, but they are somewhat sparse to find. Moreover, would still be noted that I (would be on board it the B-side) Part 2 of the disc much faster than find the initial phase, the tracks Nos. 1 and 4 herein constitute a small exception!
Although what is on the 2nd part of "Tunnel of Love" (the theme song I find so honestly the most beautiful) nothing you would not already know (or maybe - you just instinctively feel it all before to have heard somewhere before, even if you have only just added the record to his collection), but - and this opinion I stay - Mr. Springsteen is writing poppy, emotional (albeit partially shallower) ballads quite, I think! Anyway, he proves on "Tunnel of Love" at least a couple of times!

Overall, the disk is more suitable for the side, eg as background music or as an atmospheric soundtrack one day Ausklanges. Although "Nebraska" - despite the general agreement - is often down recognized as demo tape, can "Tunnel of Love" with this outstanding panel of course not keep up! For the 80 who actually also were the heyday of the Boss, it was, for Springsteen ratios, probably only a mediocre album. But if we consider the entire musical landscape at that time, so it's got to pour praise on this project!

Conclusion: Very decent work, with pleasant, really good sounds that somehow rang and the end of the preliminary flower Springsteen. As I said: The dirketen comparison with "Born in the USA" or "Nebraska" this disc is certainly not grown. Also, I find, for example "The Rising" better. With the two new works ("Magic" and "Working on a Dream"), it may "Tunnel of Love" but all take!

Overall impression: 3-4 star, and I, for once, here tend to more positive review!
