I was only skeptical about Monster Hunter. Therefore, I approached rather critically and averse to the game. A friend has put it close to my heart the otherwise also shares my taste in games. So I thought I would try it once ...
Advance the game in my opinion is EXTREMELY beginners hostile. Yes exactly hostile. With tutorials and button combinations you will only so zugebombt. After half an hour smoking a already the head but there is still far from the end in sight. And you look at all the time asking, "Where are the fat monster?" But take it easy ... In the beginning you have to really be patient with the game. Who by the way sets on an epic story ... fuck that now I skipe most conversations because they contain only small talk and flat jokes. (Although I otherwise belong to those who read in the Games even the books if they are available.) Was even on the verge of giving up the game ...
But then why 4 stars? Well, because it's Monster Hunter!
Sometime namely does this turning point (for me after 5 hours of play). Then you have internalized and understood everything and that is the first big monster standing and the shreds !!! The fights are just awesome because they are different rumkloppen is not you have to try patiently what works and what does not. (Always reminds me a little of the boss fights from Ocarina of Time) This is so much fun that you can the other things aside you just want Monster flatten to produce better weapons and armor from their remains and then, you guessed it, even more to make Monster flat. And that employs a;) I see next year are still sitting on it.
Otherwise, there should be mentioned that the graphics are okay for the 3DS and who likes can natörlich play in 3D. The control is a bit Trickie you manage)
Moreover, one should have a soft spot for this Japanese (eg talking cats).
Newcomers Conclusion:
First it starts very slowly but then ... but then ...
Give the game 4-8 hours time to unfold then you will have fun. Perhaps only from a friend or from somewhere else borrow big doubts. But very few are voluntarily out of his hand. :)
