Look and feel:
The housing of the microwave is made of black plastic, settles with stainless steel elements and dark glass. Inside the device is dark painted, which is a bit more complex care than a device made of stainless steel. The power cord is long enough. The control buttons are located on the right side of the front and are provided with small icons. These are, unfortunately, really very small and very difficult to detect. I would have at least liked a color highlighting of the buttons to start and stop, but unfortunately that is not the case. If you are the microwave on the counter, so you have to have to bend down to see the pictograms. For older people who can no longer see well this device is therefore not suitable at all in my opinion.
The cooking compartment has inside a dimension of 29.5 * 30.5 cm and thus more one of the smaller models.

In use:
The microwave MW 7864 offers different functional options and can therefore replace an oven. In addition to pure microwaves and the operation is possible as a grill or convection oven, as well as a combined unit.
The microwave function works perfectly. Either the power will be selected (in%) and the cooking time or a program. It is also a quick start at full power. The defrost function is good and can be adjusted over time or weight either. Since the icons and buttons at the beginning are not self-explanatory, you need urgently the instruction manual that is not outstanding but unsatisfactory indeed.
If the grill or convection function is used, it is essential to make sure that nothing is close to or on the device. A forgotten paper on top of the case during preheat ensures even for ordinary odors and can start in extreme cases kokeln. The kit includes a metal frame (with high side of the grill and flat for circulating air) that used for baking and grilling. A pizza is to be placed for example on this metal frame and then baked in forced air. Since there is only the big problem that the metal frame and the oven are too small for a conventional frozen pizza. So you can imagine these proportions a little better, I've done and set a photo. For this reason, the 7864 MW falls as oven with me by already.
Because this microwave is intended for the granny flat, we do not have a second device. This is inside and outside stainless steel, inside has a dimension of 33 * 33 cm, a large metal grate to fit an entire pizza, can keep up with all other functions, has greater and clearer symbols and is a discounter model significantly cheaper. The only times as an information, so you know what I see here.

CONCLUSION:
The microwave MW 7864 is a solid device that fulfills all functions satisfactorily. For my needs, but the interior is too short and the usability leaves much to be desired. I tend therefore to 3.5 stars, I aufrunde because of the good cooking results.
