Buyer over two years ago the purchase price of the Philips was juicy. And it is now. As I pondered two or even three times. I indulged him me then; finally gets Klopp allegedly his mane so that in handle.
For once, I would now like to prefer my conclusion already partially. To put it in a nutshell, the device shaved and in the freshly charged, purified state at the previous day shortened beard even thoroughly. But since it ends there. In a normal razor that would be perfectly adequate. Here Philips has but imposed another claim, not least because of the price.
What prompted my review?
- Shaving is quite thorough, but in many places - due to the incredibly impractical structure of the shaving head - not again: under the nose, ears, chin guard
- Longer hair or stubble gets the Philips in the first wiping not approach under control: So you drive in accordance with operating instructions repeated circling of the bodies and irritates the skin until you're blue
- The selling cleaning fluid is outrageously expensive (if you buy cheap roughly EUR 6 per filling) and the container for this is artificially kept low, so you have to significantly overfill well in order to bring the station at all to be able to do something
- The cleaning itself is almost useless as already collect as much stubble in the reservoir after two to three days, that it rather comes to pollution of the shaving head as a cleaning (as it would have been with a Grid Guard as Brown ?!)
- The battery has lost me after the first month already 10min of its capacity
- The supplied accessories are well-intentioned, but lacks meaningfulness: what enclose a useless cleaning brush, but a proper beard trimmer only separately for almost 40 EUR sale (!)?
- The built-in trimmer works rather moderate, but it helps to achieve the intricate points but (nose, chin, ears)
- The travel case served its purpose for me quite well, but sutures dissolve after a few uses fast
- This list of small problems is endless
I would nevertheless like to leave the church in the village. Advertising promises are just marketing claims. That Klopp tames his beard with the thing without problems, believes not a healthy person. But here easily come together in a product (at this price) too many mistakes for a really good evaluation. As for just what aspects of quality and everyday utility Philips has shot themselves here. I use the device still because it basically does so, what it should. But a buy recommendation I can give. Since there are much better equipment at the same price or the same good equipment for half the money. Good design alone does not help as well. Accordingly, there is of me benevolent three out of five stars after two years of use.
