Besides the fact that you probably have to ask what alcohol consumption has to do with Christmas (except marketing), the idea of a beer tasting is nice. The instructions for tasting is essential, but not sufficient, and the option for online evaluation well. What, then, are the deficiencies that exist to complain there? - On the positive side, that the existing calendar beers are a surprise. Remains negative, that in the end has no overview of the presented beers - there should be at least in the last compartment (looking back in 2013, since 2014 is not yet the 24ste at the time of review) to be a summary. - All negative it should be noted that although the manual is included for evaluation (Optical impression, appearance of the beer, smell and taste, etc.), but nowhere we learn how to be because each beer. What use is it, if one is to evaluate fragrance, sparkling, color, clarity, Antrunk etc., if you do not (always) know if the beer is now to taste slim or full or if the foam is to be fine-pored or resistant now. Some varieties can be on the label (and otherwise you have no info for beer) do not realize what it is at all these (ie a warehouse, a Märzen, or whatever). So who is not a true beer connoisseur (but only one beer lovers) or Biersomelier, has little starting with the evaluation. Furthermore, it is not stated whether one should be awarded on the 1-3 point scale ranging only whole points or even tenths of a point. - Somewhat in connection with the above point, the criticized principle that is sometimes not recognized by a non-specialist, to what type of beer it will be missing a basic description of the types of beer, that is what beer is to give it and what properties these should have in each category (bitter, malty, color, foam, ...) - It is indeed described, is to sample the temperature at which, for example, but not as you pour to check the foam. Is now the glass to keep an angle or not? Is it to previously wetted or not? Why? One gives a fast or slow? Gives you a greater ode rkleinere amount? - In the online vote, which could perform simultaneously, the order should correspond with those in the calendar. Unfortunately, the beers come in the calendar in an entirely different order as in the optional online assessment ... It is interesting that I (most of breweries, which are represented in the calendar) have evaluated according to the criteria in the calendar my private favorite beers. Use is made of the proposed grading scale, these beers cut off not necessarily top, because the bottle design has (for me) nothing to do with the taste of beer. Many a beer with better score (the latter may agree because of incorrect instructions) would otherwise end up in my spout ... That leaves to say that this idea (so far just stop drinking anything can tunhaben with Christmas) unfortunately is only unloving and implemented rudimentary. Evil said simply cheap or marketing tricks. Too bad, because I'm disappointed. Glad Kalea least claims to have nothing to do with the breweries.
