We already have a to the private car and one is in the company car. With two, I am satisfied and pleased me the new TomTom Go to test 60.
Delivered, the Navi with bracket, car charger and USB cable.
The first thing I wanted to update all the maps and have it connected to the PC exactly as directed.
And there begins a big problem with TomTom, per Navi need an email address to set up an account.
I think that on the one hand and on the other annoying not timely. It should be possible probably to manage multiple Navis in one account.
For those who have several cars with Navis in the household, ie specify the number of email addresses.
We have for such registrations in the household have an email address, then we had a third use the same.
This is in my opinion far from being customer friendly.
So only a mail to TomTom that you delete an old, no longer used blank, Navi from an account that you can not do it yourself namely.
This led to delay and has already been very upset me.
Then I tried to convince the Navi to connect to the PC, even this non-existent.
Again Contacting TomTom customer service.
The answer I copy here
"I want to ask you about to watch our Internet facilities for enabling error-free work with the MyDrive program:
- Your computer should not be located in a secured corporate network and are not using a proxy server, Fritzbox router with firewall or antivirus software or the like.
- Connect a USB port on the navigation device directly on the motherboard (preferably on the back of the computer). With USB ports on the front of the computer, hub or the external USB adapter, the signal may be too weak and thus cause transmission errors or crashes during installation.
- During installation, you should not run any application in the background. Virus Scanner, Messenger and other applications that are located at the bottom right of the taskbar, you should turn off for the duration of the installation.
- Please also note that when connected via Wi-Fi (wireless connection), the speed of downloading may decrease. I recommend that you connect to the Internet via LAN setup.
- For an error-free download, we recommend an internet connection with a minimum speed of 3000 kbit / s (ie, 3 MB / s speed) to use. Refer also to information that is provided on the following page are available:

I find these conditions absolutely not up to date.
We have now times all computers via Wi-Fi on the net and in my eyes is not unusual. Fritz box is to be regarded almost as a standard, etc.
After a few trials and technical changes I have been able to provide even the TomTom GO 60 with the latest updates.
Honestly, I was close to giving up, and the review writing exactly this far and to leave with a star the subject.
I find a company that wants to survive in the market today, has to adapt to today's technical conditions and the customer does not have to adapt to the company that is able not to make his software so that it just works.
With all previous Navis TomTom had and I do not have these problems. Here, the service has deteriorated significantly.
Meanwhile, the TomTom GO has 60 accompanied me for one week at my field service activities.
In the car we continued with problems. The charging cable is not long enough to fix the quite large Navi on the left side of the disc.
In the manual is displayed that you can attach it on the shelf, but it is delivered with a mount that is on the disk.
Among older TomTom Navis I was always very happy that the sun no problems doing what blinded the display As for the topic. This Navi has as major problems, at least on my company cars, which has a rather oblique slice.
The way has mostly found reliable the Navi. The cards inaccuracies that are present when others are not eradicated.
I assume that the cards so all have a base and permanent closures of roads of more than 6 months, which have also been reported, simply not considered, although TomTom promises this.
The operation is slightly out of hand. For those who previously did not have a TomTom sat nav, I would recommend first of all to load the instructions from the Internet. The included Mini Edition is not sufficient for operation.
My conclusion: if you have the Navi once the extent that it finds its way into the car, it is not to be mounted anywhere there where you want it because the cord is too short.
Otherwise, however, the TomTom Go 60 a brings out exactly where you want, view 3D or 2D you can go to their own habits and choose everything else.
Where it is vastly dependent service from TomTom, the Odyssey does not make any with and I would have if I had bought the Navi, returned it.
During the test I feel obliged to the bitter end endure.
