The Problem
My - TV 46 PFL 5007- can play via the USB ports no HD video format files mts. Such formats are generated z. B. from the camera Panasonic FZ 150.
Supposed solution
A customer described the option to Blu Ray player to play such files. I want to enjoy my videos and photos from the external FP (backup) comfortably on large TV screen. For this I chose specially mentioned the player as lt. Technical description external FP to 2 TB (FAT 32 and NTFS) can be connected.
My FP (1TB- currently filled with about 120 GB) was easily recognized by the player.
Playback of the video work - but the reproduction of the photos was extremely limited. After 7 folders (approximately 16 GB) have been concluded. It appeared the error message "The folder contains no items". My request to the support provided the following useful statement. "Reference to your inquiry we inform you that the player DMP-BD77 supports a USB device up to 2 TB. However, the player can only manage a limited number of files. Unfortunately, the number of manageable files by the factory not documented taking . This is due to the fact that the number of manageable files depends on the file size.

Furthermore, I found the menu and the playback function of the video files to be very uncomfortable. First, it must be awkward selected if you want to see videos or photos, then select USB, and then the appropriate folder. The playback of video can also only individually erfolgen- so choose -starten- Next Select restart etc.
In other words, for the intended use of the player was useless for me despite any description.
The Solution
The Philips BD 3300th
It recognizes at first all files and shows in the folder all mts and jpeg files. After starting the first mts he plays in succession from all video files in this folder. Then the jpegs. Likewise, I had imagined.
Conclusion
Who wants to look Blu-Rays and maybe an opportunity clippers times some would enjoy a few photos and videos on the TV - which is certainly well served by Panasonic.
For all other of this contribution is perhaps a decision aid.
For the poor USB function and the helpless Support only 3 stars. Reversal on Amazon usual problems.
