Drive with false promises

Have I bought the drive because it is suitable for the Samsung website for Tablets by his allegedly low power consumption according to the statement. When connecting to my tablet (Surface Pro 3) the LW is also recognized. When you insert a DVD that LW drives also high, but then comes the message (Win 8.1) that "the unit more power claimed as the USB interface can provide beret" and the LW is switched off. A USB 3.0 port normally delivers 900 mA. After a few phone calls with Samsung I was finally referred to a Samsung page that I had not found ([...]) on the then current consumption of 1.4 A is specified. If the operating system does not shut down the LW would be blown in the worst case the USB port. Some notebooks or laptops already provide more power as a precaution, but tablets have since naturally be frugal. So: Tablet users: Stay away.
