For the lens I chose because it is a very good choice as always depends lens on my EOS 650D for me and I most frequently used focal range covering. Thanks to the STM technology can be zoomed in videos without a zoom noise is heard in the video. In addition, from the Canon EOS 650D also supports auto focus when shooting video. Before that, I used the EFS 18-55, but often I need something more focal length.

In some reviews reported a low image quality, with my lens I did not have such experiences, with me the image quality is very good!

So I recommend this lens as always top lens for Canon EOS 650D and the 700d.
For older camera models you should use the version without STM technique, because it is cheaper and the STM technique is only 650D full support from the EOS.
