A Thriller (as classic horror film, I would not call MADHOUSE) in a ramshackle asylum - as is already the klaustrophische backdrop and the disturbed residents an oppressive and morbid mood on. I found the movie any minute boring and keeps the plot a permanent tension because it constantly with the grotesque occupants, the madness, the bizarre caregivers, the 'cellar freaks' and of course with a completely overmatched major player and its 'ghost train ride' through the sinister institution is confronted. Our hero (he reminds me of Harry Potter) looks a little helpless and overwhelmed by the event diversity - does the voltage additionally good. Light and shadow elements that peculiar shapes and of course the dungeon-like cellar with the 'freaks' have constantly action and variety, and you actually moves ausschlißlich in a threatening mood or environment. The presentation of the murders and violence are appropriately for a thriller Rated 16, the film is supposed to generate more goosebumps and is not a splatter with Gedärm- or blood fountains.
Otherwise everything is good average (3.5 stars) - the plot is not new or very innovative (although I was not clear who the murderer is, I typed on someone else) and the performer are ok and fit for action - but are also no highlight. The conclusion is a bit short and hectic - it is at least explained everything - but is certainly worth discussing because Thriller often end so.
Conclusion: A nice entertaining movie for a dark foggy autumn or winter evening, very tight and exciting atmosphere, geeks in the basement, questionable Pfleger, confused figures around it, and a constantly questioning Hauptakteuer 'what's going on here from?!?'
