For those who know the comics really remind Tales from the Crypt: The Joker presents different stories and each of them brings its conclusion, a kind of moral, so Joker. Here we are told five short stories of several villains from the Batman universe: Joker, the Penguin, Poison Ivy, the Scarecrow and Two-Face.
Each story is written, designed and colored by different artists, which makes it all pretty uneven. For me the Penguin narrative is probably the most interesting, as the most powerful story and best realized design; but the others are not far behind. The episode of the scarecrow is a real little gem graphic (if only one like this rather special style); that of Double Face is especially interesting for its fall. The only story that really sin is that of Ivy: the story is really irrelevant, it really has that delicious Ivy curves and drawings to save him, but as they are good, it compensates!
The album is very good quality, glossy paper, etc. The only real problem is that despite this quality, it costs nearly 10 to "only" 128 pages. The stories are sufficient with this format, but would not have been too much to enrich the stories, or just for pleasure. Even if they are interesting for the same price you can afford The Long Halloween approaching the 330 and screenplay is a marvel. Nevertheless, if you like the enemies of the Batman universe and that English do not mind (not hard do not worry), believe me you will not be disappointed!
