One probably in the simplest sentence: It's awesome!
I love the packaging of Razer. Stylishly packaged, a lot Knoddelarbeit the equipment herauszufriemeln, and then usually a masterpiece of gaming peripherals in hand :)
What I first noticed was better counteract -bzw on the palm rest, because it is only plugged in and simply be removed again (no latching or click-system!).
This has 2 Haltestife up and down, "set" with which the position of the pad on the pad is. Actually, there are only 3 options to this pad hand adapt. 1. palmrest slot 2. Slot palmrest, or garkeine palmrest. The latter option looks a bit modest, but is ideal for people with very small hands in the end.
I use a pad next to the Razer Mamba (mouse - the 2010 version) and a Razer Lycosa Mirror (keyboard). Since I use these two components on a daily basis, I've gotten used to the scroll wheel of the mouse, and the pressure point of Razer keyboard. Thus, since this pad should be a mixture of mouse and keyboard I have a direct comparison to the mono devices.
-The Stop point of the keys took me by surprise. While the Lycosa a relatively merkbares feedback from yourself is when the keys are pressed and have an in my opinion very good tactile feedback, the Nostromo appears to delineate from the second stage of her keyboards. The pressure point is to good for themselves, only would the way for the keystroke can be made shorter. The key press per se is somehow "soft" before. However, you get used to it quickly. The accessibility of the buttons could prove to be a bit difficult for small hands, unless you slip on the pad back and forth. The keys are provided for the WASD control have the same distances from one another like on a normal keyboard. In order to prevent accidental clicking together on the pad would Razer UM keys this WASD keys can attach at a greater distance, or at least make the WASD keys indicated or similar by a rougher surface The pad has 14 programmable keys on the keypad, which can be divided into 8 different, so-called "keymaps" in turn. Considering the WASD keys you probably every game needs on the first keymap from, so you have so switch converted alone on the keypad 100 options of the keyboard layout, because you a button on each Keymap need to in a different keymap .. ,
-The Scroll wheel I use not on the pad. There's too stiff and here I come to compare with my Mamba. There scrolling is pleasant and goes without much effort. On the Nostromo I often the Gefähl as if the wheel somewhere anecken..man heard a slight scraping when scrolling. Whether this is a material error in my pad or the scroll wheel creaks so generally I can not say.
-The 8-way joystick is a world of its own. The stick can be removed and can be found under a normal 4-way navigation. I've seen it not been able to really use. In particular, the occupancy in standard format is used to. The direction which I thought initially for -Vorwärts, emerged as links. Ie the joystick is rotated by 90 ° clockwise. Of course, can also be programmed the joystick will. Whole chains of command can be handled by a Joystickbwegung if you want that so. In my opinion, although complete nonsense but there is one probably the player who needs something .. ^^ All a matter of taste
-The Other two buttons on the right side are the relatively Wobbly round button and a relatively large thumb button. Both are easily accessible from the wrist. I use the joystick as a starting point for my thumb, because you will find the other two buttons then relatively easy. As already described the small round button is a little shaky, but I could not find that my only reacts when pressed centrally as the wurde..er ever described herein reacts even relatively accurate and has a loose attachment point.
The chunky thumb button is hardly verfehlbar and of course just like the programmable button. It is suitable for MMORPG's excellent as a button for the keymap change. Here the point of impact is similar to that on the top keypad.
-The Lighting is about the software adjustable with a scale of 0-100%, or via a slider on the bottom of Nostromo completely switched off.
In the pack there are (as with any other Razer product) no CD with drivern or software for the purchased unit. Each Razer-related software must be downloaded to the Home page [...]. The Settings software of Nostromo is relatively easy to understand and should not cause any problems on its own.
The Nostromo has since only really worth it? My technical playing skills hardly noticeable, but there was one point which I had expected and was met just:
The shape of the Nostromo allows the hand a comfortable, natural position, which greatly relieves the wrist and tendon sheaths. On pure keyboards I had a few hours almost always a pain in the wrist which longer game sessions immediately made a full end. This problem is now history :)
The Nostromo I own for a week now, I guess if I got used to it completely from the results are due to play technical superiority even go up;)
