Appearance / processing:
The netbook in white looks really smart and is well made. The grooved surface is filled in well and is not prone to fingerprints. The display hinges are tight the screen does not wobble. What do I with my (I do not know if it is so in all) would complain about something: The touchpad rattling something and touch pad buttons have a little too deep and loud click. The keyboard, however, is in order. The edge of the display is black in this release and do not know how in the photo (probably in the touchscreen version is so). I think it is even better than in white.
Display:
The display is fine for me. According to research on the internet I was afraid that the screen is too dark and I very reflective but was pleasantly surprised the brightness for indoor use is more than adequate (I put about 40-50% a). OK, the screen is not anti-reflective and grease repellent as on more expensive smartphones, but it's not even from Gorilla Glass ;-). Anyone concerned about resolution / screen size makes: The fonts are small, but legible. I would prefer actually 13 inches with Full HD resolution, for my wife but has the smaller size of the netbook a greater priority :-). Older people who need a reader glasses should perhaps look for a larger format.
Working speed:
The pace of the netbook is fine. In my model of the Pentium 2117U with up to 1.8 Ghz is responsible for the work and does his job well, although not particularly fast. That was me but clearly before buying. I can not quite understand, as one reviewer the netbook in about 10 seconds starts at my (by all Windows updates, so normal startup), it takes about 40 to 50 seconds. I play with the idea of the HDD to an SSD to replace then maybe there will be 10 to 20 seconds. Maybe he has it (ie comparable to Sandby) confused then the screen even in 2-3 sec with the InstantOn feature. Since.
Features:
I would like to point out that there is no Bluetooth module is. I have the problem with a cheap USB dongle - solved (CSL micro USB Bluetooth Adapter V4.0). Why ASUS is not miteinbaut, I do not understand.
Battery performance:
The current time in battery mode (browsing, writing, WLAN and Bluetooth on) I guess an approximately 3 to 4 hours. Just to say is difficult, because the display in Windows, the battery power may only get to know in more detail ;-) needs. I myself have not yet been measured.
Audible noise:
The fan works quietly, you can hear slight noise, but is not disturbing, also turns not particularly high when loaded (if any). The hard drive is not loud.
I would buy the netbook again and hopefully have helped you in your buying decision.
