Lip Lock (Audio CD)

Customer Review

After 11 long years, Eve returns with their new album "Lip Lock". The comeback was already planned for 2007 at the time the project was called "Here I Am", it appeared even two singles (Tambourine [even with a very good remix with Missy Elliott and Fabolous] and Give It To You with Sean Paul) and some Songs leakten the Internet, the album was never released. After several name changes ("Flirt") of the title was finally decided: Lip Lock. However, the album did not appear because of problems with the label. Now she brings out the album independently. Due to poor promotion, the first sales week was bad in America. The album itself is very good, a very valables Hip Hop Album, where Eve is to faithful to their style and tried a lot of new sounds. However, Song is fun and you can hear through until the end of the album from the beginning, without skipping. The first single "She Bad Bad" has an extraordinary chorus, after several listening rips the song with, and you can not keep silent. The second song "Make It Out This Town" is rather made for radio stations, it has a clear pop-Main-Stream-chorus, which does not mean that the song is bad. As a promo single publish Eve also still the song "EVE" with Miss Kitty, this song is a "classic" Hip Hop Song, whose rape are really very successful. On the plate waiting numerous other interesting collaborations. "Mama In The Kitchen" (ft. Snoop Dogg) is one of the strongest songs on the album, the chorus is very catchy and the song makes a good sound just fun! "Wanna Be" (ft. Missy Elliott and Nacho) is just awesome, the beat very potent. "Never Gone" (ft. Chrisette Michele) is the only slow-jam song, it can fully convince. Chrisettes voice is as always charming and complemented great with the "hard" rape of Eve. "Keep Me From You" (ft Dawn Richard -. Former member of Danity Kane) is also more likely for the mainstream, the beat goes clearly in the direction of dance. The song has a catchy tune factor high, yet the song that I like the least. "All Night" (ft. Claude Kelly & Propain) can fully convince, and this song has clear main-stream effects. "Grind Or Die" is one of the strongest and most aggressive songs, unfortunately, very short, but a very potent song. "Zero Below" convinces with clear statements that rap parts are awesome and the beat tunes to perfectly. "Forgive Me" is a very summery song, of which one very quickly gets an earwig. Class song! The album closes with a remix of "She Bad Bad" (ft. Pusha T and Juicy J). The booklet of the album presents itself with many beautiful pictures of Eve and lyrics for each song.

All in all, a very successful Hip Hop album, of which there are no longer many are today. Eve has had a long time coming, with this result, the wait was definitely worth it! So far one of the best CDs that were released in 2013. Support them and buy their album! It is worth it!
