In this book, or the history of the long term is laid bare, the role of France, its place in a Europe of nations illuminate a clear manner thanks to the author's analysis grids and its style with elegance.
Although personally I find that the period of the Revolution of 89 and the Commune of 1871 are not treated with all the historical depth they deserve (certainly due to the commitment policy Bainville) the period of the monarchy and Napoleon are small heads out of clarity while being of great international political lesson and foreign affairs.
Read wholeheartedly.
