They love it and so do we! More fetching water change every day and cats burst and are autonomous. I was afraid that 5 liters are 3 cats too but it's perfect, no fear of walking the vacuum pump and the fountain has the correct height. It has been several months and everything goes perfectly. But it maintains it!
Question noise is relative to each person and the spirit, the pump may make a slight "hum" but it is covered by the noise of the water which is very nice and the sounds of the house we are ready more cases and we are so happy to see them happy.
If one day I especially need silence, I cut a few hours. I set a timer to 2 of total silence between 22h and 7h.
MAINTENANCE: Every week (or a little more with bottled water and animal saliva little), I clean the fountain with stone and clay I dip the pump dismantled in a bowl with 50% water and 50% white vinegar. After 10 minutes I am running in this water with vinegar for a while. I redo the work in clean water to rinse it. And that's go again. It may sound boring, but it allows the pump to last long and keep a good constant flow. After cleaning with vinegar it will seem like new and you will hear in the ear!
