The dark side of the Force
Who impartially go into the game and do not know what right from the first little exercise Mission expects, the is clear: you're working for evil. As Darth Vader personally makes you hunt for one of the last surviving Jedi, after his death takes the Dark Lord's son Galen Marek, who later became the main character of the game, in his custody and forms in his bombers from. Your task now is to follow orders Vader and wipe the rest of the Jedi. Exactly this issue is the gap between the films "Episode III" and "Episode IV" include, for sure many have ever wondered while watching how it really so powerful Jedi Order could simply disappear from the scene.
Starkiller
Actually, Luke Skywalker was once Luke Starkiller hot, known this has been changed. Full discarded it but does not have the name and so Galen's nickname Starkiller. With it, you travel from planet to planet, learns the control from the ground up and get over the game time always new power to attacks. The principle is always the same, start from point A, fight your way through the landscape and hordes of enemies and eliminate ultimately the Jedi hiding here. Although this sounds rather uninspired, but it makes a lot of fun. This is thanks to primarily the entire capabilities of Galen. Whether in attacks with the laser sword or with the power, he is pretty much exactly what you sooner perhaps dreamed once, as you would have liked to a Jedi. The controller has, unfortunately two sides. On the one hand is positive that it is not too complicated to move Galen and to attack him, soon you have any shortcuts fully checked out. On the other hand, however, the game reacts often much too late on your inputs. In particular, the blocking and the power handle are affected. Especially with battles is extremely annoying, because if you have no chance to ward off the opponent's attack time and must put up with a hit, frequently a frustration moment comes on. When power handle, however you have exactly to the counterparty or the subject aimed to grab him to and even then it does not always work. Luckily your enemies do not seem to be all too intelligent and so can you, in spite of these errors also against masses successfully to defend.
Good or Evil?
When the Emperor discovered that Vader with Starkiller has a secret disciple, He orders Galen's death, what Vader executes promptly, but it "aufpeppeln" again at a hidden place can. At this point, you almost feel like Galen stood at a crossroads and would be incensed confirmed on Vader's behavior and away with the help of Princess Leia and the Rebels, the dark side of the Force, in fact it comes from his master but can not shake What particularly his pretty pilot Juno Eclipse incensed, and serve him unconsciously just to track down the rebels. Again must Galen disappointed to realize that he is just a tool and helps so the captive by him to take to flight, which holds a grand finale for you ready, because now you must face either Vader or the Emperor put himself. Both fights have a different outcome and thus a different course of Galen's story, for it pays to play through the game at least twice.
New vs. old
Back to the question at the beginning. What brings a the "Ultimate Sith Edition" actually? On the technical side is not much new. A few bugs have been removed, otherwise everything is still at the level of 2008, which by today's standards, however, is still very neat. Especially in terms of graphics, the game with detailed and colorful planets and buildings which one returns the Star Wars feel of the old movies, convince, especially the numerous QuickTime events and video sequences that are almost in the category animated film, are a real eye-catcher. Really new, however, are three additional levels which have however nothing to do with the story, you for that at known locations from the films "kidnap" and can meet various characters from the old trilogy. Is a pity that the "Ultimate Sith Edition" only for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC is available, owners of other consoles have no choice but to Sandartausgabe (available for: PSP, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS) access ,
Conclusion
"Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" is a really successful action-adventure that should not only fans of George Lucas' fallen universe, but certainly one or the other, who had previously studied the matter rather less. Perfect but the game is not far. In addition to the aforementioned deficiencies could have been designed by the missions for example a ship flying a bit more varied, the linear levels and quite simple quests would still have upgradeable, but overall it leaves a positive impression. Who owns the 2008 version of "The Force Unleashed" already, needs the "Ultimate Sith Edition" does not necessarily mean it can be to those who are interested in the new edition would highly recommend.
